The UV market is changing: in addition to the classic UV medium-pressure lamps, the curing of inks and coatings by means of UV LEDs has become established in recent years.
Completely new fields of business, such as display production, have also been opened up. As a supplier of UV systems, IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG focused even more strongly on expanding its LED business this year. In addition to the successful market launch of our own high-performance LED products, the acquisition of a majority stake in the British LED UV system manufacturer Integration Technology Ltd. brought a further gain in expertise.
The stronger focus on technological development is now also reflected in the reorganisation of the management of IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG. Christian-Marius Metz, grandson of the late company founder Gerhard Metz, has been on the management board since 2015. This is now complemented by Tim Sterbak, who is responsible for the areas of sales and technology.
Tim Sterbak holds a degree in economics from the University of Hohenheim. He has many years of experience in consulting and managing international companies. Most recently, he worked as a portfolio manager at the listed investment company Aurelius.
Tim Sterbak is looking forward to his new task and wants to continue the positive business development with innovative products and services. Particularly important to him are the clear positioning as a best-in-class supplier of light-curing products and sustainable growth through the acquisition of new market shares. The consistent customer orientation as well as the trustful contact shall remain in focus.
Mr. Sterbak describes the responsible challenge as particularly appealing: "We are in the midst of a structural technological change that requires a reorientation within the company.
